OK OK...

I am still running. It's just been a while since I have posted. About 3 weeks ago my grandpa died and I guess I just didn't feel like getting out there to run. I guess a combination of his death and a bad cold kept me in for a week and a half. We joined the new YMCA though. I am doing most of my running there now. I am up to 4.25 miles without much of a problem. I am not at marathon speed yet. It took me 45 minutes but I'll get there. I am having fun. I'm giving myself small goals to accomplish too keep me motivated. I wanted to run 4 miles by yesterday and I did it! So that was fun. Well, the plan is 2 miles today as a recovery and Saturday I will try for 5!!!!

Run #2

I did the same corse again because I liked it so much. It is a little over 2 miles. I was so excited when I drove it to figure out the distance. I couldn't believe that I could run the 2 miles without stopping. I felt almost as good as I did on my first run but the night before the second run, I had a margarita. It did not sit well. The day after my first run I got a massage and it worked out a few kinks in my back and hips that were bugging me. I waited two days between runs and I think that was good for me. I will run again tomorrow and try to stay as healthy as I can at the Kenny Chesney concert tonight. I did a little yoga this morning and it hurt! Yesterday there was something seriously wrong with me. I started by hitting my head on a low wall in the storage closet of our house; which resulted in a big goose egg on the back of my head. That hurt. Then when we were on our way to the park the kids kicked a ball and I tried to stop it from going into a rain channel but slipped and fell on my tail bone. I caught myself with my hands so my arms are hurting now too. I tried to play it off like it didn't hurt at the time but I was seriously in pain.
Oh well, I guess you have to have an off day every now and then.
Well, I am looking forward to my run tomorrow. I might try to extend my course a little if my injuries are feeling any better.
Off to the concert with our good friends The Moore's.
